Centre of HOPE - Trichy

In 2003, the Richard Centre of HOPE was established in the city of Trichy, one of the biggest cities of the state of Tamil Nadu with a population of 2.5 million. The Centre offers educational and community services to the poor and orphans. Situated in the heart of Trichy, this is a program that brings together local people, volunteers, and the poor to make a long term difference in the community. The 30,000 square-foot multipurpose “Richard Centre of HOPE” for the people of Trichy was inaugurated on January 23, 2006. The Richard family has donated land and raised substantial funds for the centre, with a vision to take care of orphans and empower the local community where they have lived for generations. The centre has facilities built to run a medical centre, a preschool, volunteer quarters, home for the elderly and space for 90 orphans. The centre also houses a community hall with a kitchen, which can host local events.

Apart from the Richard Centre of HOPE in Trichy, HOPE worldwide with the able support of Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control (TANSAC), established in July 2006 a Community Care Centre at Tirunelveli to provide a home for the abandoned HIV/AIDS women and children. These women and children are provided with the utmost care and attention to make their lives better.
